How to Become a Vampire

To become a vampire, another player who is already infected can “turn you” by giving you a bite at a Vampire Shrine. You can find one in The Rift.

NOTE: Before a player can “turn” another, they MUST have Blood Ritual– a passive unlocked at rank 6 that allows players to spread their Vampirism to others. (1 week cool-down)

Once bitten, read the scroll on the altar, enter the portal and complete the Blood Matron quest.

How to Cure Vampirism

To cure Vampirism, visit the Mages Guild located in the city of Riften in The Rift.

Vampire Changes – Greymoor

With Greymoor, all Vampires have been set to Stage 1, while all skill points in Vampire abilities have been refunded.

Vampire Stages

  • Last 4 hours
  • Increase while feeding
  • Decrease cost of Vampire abilities and activates certain passives
  • Decrease cost of Health Recovery
  • Increase fire damage
  • Increase cost of non-Vampire abilities

Feeding

  • Increases your Vampire Stage

NPC Interaction

  • Certain skills will give you a bounty in some towns or cities
  • At Stage 4, some NPCs will refuse to deal with you
    • Use Mesmerize to trick merchants into doing so

Leveling

  • Keep Vampire skills on your bar while you earn EXP
  • Completing main quests can level Vampire skills (without combat)
